Today I started tearing up writing a review about the Fun Factory Stronic Eins. This toy was the first toy I really splurged on 1My first “toys” included hex bugs nanos, the Wahl, and the Lelo Ella. because after holding this toys in my hands, I fell head over heels for it. During my freshman year of college, Megan Andelloux visited my school as part of the CSPH’s Study Sex College Tour. I’d never had the chance to see sex toys in person before, since I was too young and too nervous to go into sex shops in person, and had gotten all my research and advice from Hey Epiphora. But, the first time I held the Stronic Eins in my hands, I was pretty much sold.
I didn’t actually purchase the toy until about 6 months later, when Early to Bed had a sale which included the Stronic Eins (something that doesn’t occur often).
Outside of sex with another person, I usually prefer pinpoint clitoral stimulation2And even most times during sex with a partner, I prefer direct or indirect clitoral stimulation.. When I bought the Stronic Eins, I realized I just spent a lot of money on a toy I wasn’t completely in love with using. I brought it home with me during winter break, and there it stayed (for two years!) before I started using it in earnest. Every now and then, I would pull the luxurious Stronic Eins out of its box and show it off to friends before putting it away and mumbling that I barely ever used it. It wasn’t until I began using the We-Vibe Tango that my vagina craved something thrusting in and out of it.
HOW THIS TOY WORKS
The body of the Stronic Eins is made from a mid-level squishy silicone, which comes in neon pink or dark purple. The handle is made of hard black plastic and features three raised buttons that light up when pressed (+, -, and FUN). It comes with a USB charger (but no adaptor) that magnetically attaches to 2 nubs on the base of the toy. The entire toy measures about 9.4” long and is 1.4” in diameter at its widest point (which is right before the handle of the toy).
Fun Factory classifies all of their Stronic toys3Eins, Zwei, and Drei as well as the Bi Stronic Fusion. as “Pulsators” rather than vibrators; instead of vibrating, two powerful magnets move back and forth, so the toy actually thrusts. This makes it basically a standalone or travel friendly version of a fuck machine.
To turn on the toy, press and hold the “FUN” button for one second. It automatically starts at a mid level setting. For more time between thrusts, click the – button up to three times. For faster thrusting, press the + button up to three times. On the fourth click, the toy goes into its varied patterns (there are 4 for a total of 10 different settings).
The Eins body is non-representational, featuring a slight curve at the top which can be great for g-zone stimulation, as well as a ridge close to the handle which may engage the clitoris on some bodies. It somewhat resembles the silhouette of a slightly curved palm. While the silicone is relatively soft, the body of the toy is very rigid except for the top inch, which has some give & flexibility.
HOW I USE THIS TOY
I am a lazy masturbator. I take out every toy I ~might~ be interested in using that day so that I don’t have to get up and grab them. I put a lot of pillows under my head. I like to hold a vibe to my clit, or lay on top of one. Sometimes I will move my hips in circles. I don’t generally like to move insertable toys back and forth and I am more prone to clench around them.
At its lower power settings, the thrusts feel deeper and stronger. Holding the toy in front of me, it appears that this may be true. I still tend to go up to higher settings as I use the toy, and it still feels good, so I am not complaining. I usually use the Stronic Eins to achieve a second orgasm, or if I am having a lot of trouble coming from clitoral stim alone. The repeated internal pulses along with clitoral stim (from a second toy) feels really amazing and is often what pushes me over the edge. If I want it to really hit my g-spot, I will reach my arm under my butt and tilt the toy upwards a bit. This also makes more room for a vibe on my clit.
This is not a toy I can set and forget. For the Eins to work and not dance its way out of my vagina, I need be stabilizing this toy with a hand. I usually only need to use a few fingers against the bottom of the toy to make sure it’s going as deep as I want it.
Fun Factory’s silicone is often described as ‘draggy.’4Similar to the Vixskin line, the opposite of most of Tantus’s products. Some people like this sensation, particularly if they like having the walls of their vagina stimulated. Other people prefer something much smoother. Having a lot of water-based lube on hand can be helpful to make the Stronic Eins (or any toy with draggy silicone) more comfortable if you prefer smooth toys.
Because the Eins mimics thrusting, it can be ideal for people with limited dexterity or mobility, since it does not require the user to thrust it back and forth. It makes almost no sound as it moves back and forth and I had to hold my ear right up to it to actually hear anything.
The raised & very responsive buttons on the toy make it very easy to operate. Holding down the “FUN” button for about a second turns it off, which means you don’t need to slowly power it down if you are climaxing and need to end the stimulation immediately right now. The Eins (and most of Fun Factory’s rechargeable toys) feature a travel lock which is engaged by holding down the “FUN” and – buttons until they blink quickly. To unlock (which you will need to do the first time you get the toy), hold down “FUN” and +.
If you want a pulsator for anal use, you may be better off purchasing the Stronic Zwei which features a flange, or the Bi Stronic Fusion because of its separate arm.
LUBE & CLEANING
This toy is mostly made out of silicone, which can bond with silicone based lube. I recommend a water based lube so you don’t run the risk of ruining your Stronic (or do a spot test with a hybrid or silicone lube if that’s your jam).
This toy is submergible5You can also take it in the bath!, so it can be cleaned with soap & hot water. Don’t boil the Stronic Eins as this can damage the internal motors.
- Automates (shallow) thrusting
- stimulates the vaginal walls and can stimulate the clit
- only need one hand to use
- Larger diameter
- shallow thrusting
- seam between plastic and silicone can be hard to clean
- does not vibrate6I wouldn’t normally call this a con, but since this toy sort of qualifies as a vibrator, I feel the need to. If you want something that vibrates, don’t get this toy.
This toy was purchased with my own money. I am not receiving anything in exchange for this review. There are affiliate links included. If you like this blog and want to support the work I do, please consider clearing your cookies and purchasing through my affiliate links.
