“Ever since I got the Tantus Pack ‘n Play No. 2, making 21 cents more on the dollar has been great!” My partner joked as I opened the box containing this toy. Unfortunately, Tantus has not solved the wage gap with the Pack n Play no. 2 but it’s a great toy anyway.
I have a lot of feelings about gender, so when Tantus asked me which toy I’d like to review, my immediate choice was one of the Pack ‘n Plays. I’ve seen them both in person at the CSPH and the No. 2 spoke to me more than No. 1. Both are semi-realistic in shape and color but the No. 1 has a shinier head and is longer than the no. 2. The No. 2 is what I picture if a cartoon character had a really non-offensive dick. A friendly dick, the kind of dick you want to take to the ballgame. It’s veiny but not bulgy, of an average size, and feels squishy and pleasant. I would be happy to have my dick described as any of these things and now I can achieve that dream.
HOW THIS TOY WORKS
The Tantus Pack n Play no. 2 is made of what I’d describe as a medium shore1The shore describes how soft or firm a silicone is. A lot of Etsy sellers will tell you exactly the shore they are using, but bigger manufacturers don’t, so this is my guess. of silicone, much softer and squishier than most of the silicone toys Tantus makes.2Besides their O2 toys In fact, the No. 2 can be folded completely in half relatively easily, then springs back to it’s original shape. Pack and play toys are designed to be worn under clothes pre-play and be more discreet than an obvious boner in your pants, before standing to attention when needed. Rather than buying a packer3A flaccid peen for all-the-time wearing. and something to strap-on, pack and plays are designed for both. The No. 2 is definitely a lot more play than it is pack, though it can be discreet if you wear it the right way.
Folding it up makes the biggest of bulges so if you want to be VERY obvious about your boner, that’s a good choice.
For something slightly more discreet/realistic, I recommend the classic leg-boner.
If, however, you’d like to wear this toy out and about and not have a boner, it can be tucked between your legs with the right kind of pants to hold it in place.4Tucking the head under a harness is difficult due to the shorter length.
The No. 2 is 6.25” long and 1.6” wide at it’s widest point. Both the No. 2 and No. 1 only come in a toffee-ish color. The No. 2 features a very slight curve with very subtle veins throughout the body. The base has the word ‘Tantus’ lightly indented and is wide enough for safe anal use and harness compatibility.
HOW I USE THIS TOY
When I wear the No. 2 with either of my Spareparts harnesses (The Sasha or the Joque), it’s not easy to hide the boner. The No. 2 isn’t long enough to sufficiently tuck its head underneath a strap of the harness, so it keeps trying to SPROING up. The No. 2 will not remain unnoticed unless you find the right pants to hold it in place.5If you are looking for something similar but subtler, the New York Toy Collective Shilo is a good choice. I also noticed that it picks up a TON of fabric gunk when tucked into pants (regardless of how frequently they have been washed), so having toy wipes or a washcloth on hand between the states of packing and playing for a quick wipe-down might be apt.
The shorter length and squishiness of the No. 2 make it a very comfortable internal toy, so I prefer to insert and then clench around it (rather than thrust it in and out). Because it isn’t too long, I can easily insert the entire toy without hitting my cervix or causing me pain. It doesn’t really hit my g-spot, but I don’t really expect it to. For me, it’s more of a vaginal-wall stimulator, since the raised veins and draggier silicone feel really nice when moving in and out of me.
I actually struggled writing this review, because nothing really stood out to me about the No. 2. I absolutely love Tantus as a company (they have frequent and awesome sales, they are very good to bloggers, they were one of the first companies to use medical grade body-safe silicone…) but most of their products don’t inspire lust in my loins. The Pack ‘n Plays are an exception, but after using the No. 2, I don’t really see it becoming a beloved toy in my collection. Since I haven’t had the chance to experience every pack n play on the market, I can’t say where the No. 2 fits but I’m really glad that Tantus made something to hold a squishy place in my heart.
At $97, this is not the cheapest dil but it is the cheapest pack-n-play on the market. If you’re fine packing in very specific pants (or sporting a noticeable bulge), then I highly recommend the Tantus Pack ‘n Play No. 2. If you or your partner prefer bigger toys or something better at g-spot stimulation, you might want to save up and go for something by NYTC.
LUBE AND CLEANING
The Tantus Pack ‘n Play no. 2 is made completely of silicone and has no electrical components, so it can be washed with soap and water, dipped in a 10% bleach solution and then rinsed, or boiled for 3-5 minutes.
This toy is made of silicone which can bond with silicone based lube. I recommend using a water based lube so you don’t run the risk of ruining your toy.6Though Tantus toys in the past have been used safely with silicone lubes.
- Shorter length ideal for bjs and dil-beginners
- Cheapest pack and play currently available
- Not a very subtle packing toy
- Lint magnet
- Less stimulating than other dildos on the market
