Move over Magic Wand Rechargeable, I have a new comfort item vibrator. We-Vibe is coming for wand vibes with the (aptly named) We-Vibe Wand. Why does it stand out? It does so much.
HOW THIS TOY WORKS
The We-Vibe Wand is exactly what it sounds like: a wand-style (“cordless massager”) toy made by We-Vibe! The wand is over 12” long and covered entirely in soft, purple silicone, excecpt for the magnetic charging numbs on the bottom and a hard plastic ring under the head. The head is flexible, the handle curves slightly, and there are two buttons and one switch towards the bottom of the handle. The power button is a circle: holding down turns the toy on. One quick vibration means it’s on! Under that is a ~ button, which We-Vibe calls the Pattern/Smart Silence™ button.
“Smart Silence” is a new feature for touch-sensitivity. If the Wand doesn’t detect anything in contact with its head, the toy won’t vibrate. This feature is primarily for folks who get really sensitive after climax and want their toy powered down immediately. Clicking through this button will go through available patterns. Hold down for 5 seconds to enable/disable Smart Silence. Under both buttons is a switch with a plus and minus to control the intensity of vibration on any given setting. You can also connect the Wand to the WeConnect app (by holding down the power button while in connecting mode in the app), and utilize more specific control there. I discuss the WeConnect app more here. At any point, holding down the power button on the toy will turn it off.
The We-Vibe Wand also comes with two teal silicone attachments: Fluttery which is shaped like the sun with flaps of varying lengths; and Stroker which is shaped like an incomplete cylinder, with ridges built into the base.
HOW I USE THIS TOY
I love the ease of jerking off with a wand. Hell, that’s why the Magic Wand has been my go-to toy for years! While many identify as “size queens,”1enjoying penetration by big items I’d like to coin the term “power princess” for someone2me who doesn’t want to do a lot of work and wants something with enough power to do the work for them. In general, the most powerful and easy to attain toys are wands ( though I have yet to try a fuck machine or ride-on style toy) because they have the most space for a big motor. This heft makes them heavier which gives me personally very strong (and sexy) forearms. The We-Vibe Wand is not as powerful as the MWR but it has a personality that the MWR does not.
In addition to being nice and rumbly, the We-Vibe Wand is waterproof. Yes, that’s right, I finally have a toy that will ACTUALLY get me off in the wet (haha) cocoon of bathing in brightly colored bath bombs. I can lay back, floating in cozy warm water, and get off while smelling good.
The Wand can be controlled by my partner long distance! As one of We-Vibe’s WeConnect app compatible toys, the Wand connects via bluetooth to my phone. From there, I can send a link to my partner via whatever messaging app I prefer and he can control the Wand to get me off in a way I like. Read more about how the app works here. To me, connecting with my partner via app play feels more intimate and less performative using a toy style I favor, though it’s definitely not the hottest for voyeurism.
Unlike other We-Vibe toys, the buttons don’t seem super intuitive. I had to read the manual to figure out what the ~ button even did. I like the idea of the Smart Silence feature, since there have definitely been occasions where I needed the vibe off immediately after climax because I was so sensitive. But in practice, it means I have to grip the We-Vibe Wand pretty tightly and push it against my body harder. While I’d probably do this anwyays, I’d like to not get carpal tunnel if possible, thanks.
The We-Vibe Wand comes with two attachments! In the box attachments! I love the way that We-Vibe caters to different genitals and styles of bodies, so including these attachments with the Wand itself is a real plus. Most companies provide attachments as a supplemental purchase which sucks when toys are already a luxury purchase. The Fluttery attachment is extremely good to stim with. It has a funky texture and makes a good noise. Up against my clit? It’s whatever. My clit doesn’t really care about texture (unless it is literally a partner’s tongue) and it’s different but I couldn’t tell you how. My partner tried the Stroker attachment but said he would have preferred it to fully encircle his dick, more in line with the Hummingbird attachment for other wand style toys.3He also said he wishes the smaller end would fit in his ass and I yelled at him that I would give him other toys for that, but he insisted I include this in the review.

LUBE & CLEANING
The We-Vibe Wand is covered entirely in silicone and charges magnetically. Since silicone lube can interact with solid silicone, I recommend using a water based lube with this toy.
To clean, use soap & water or a 10% bleach solution, and then rinse.
